Wappingers Junior High School

Students who are unable to participate in physical education classes for a period of time up to one week must bring a note from home to the Health Office during the homeroom period. Any parent or guardian note is only valid for up to one week. 
 
For a longer period of time (i.e., more than one week) a note from a doctor is necessary, with a diagnosis and duration. If your doctor writes an order to be out of gym **we will need a separate order to return to gym/sports even if a time frame was listed on the note taking him out of class. 
 
If your child needs to use crutches, a cane, or a wheelchair while in school, a doctor's order is needed.
