Student of the Month

Wappingers Rotary Club Student of the Month

The third Thursday of each month is a time to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students at Wappingers Junior High School and neighboring schools. Organized by Wendy McNamara and generously supported by DCH Toyota of Wappingers Falls, the Wappingers Rotary Club honors one 8th grade student each month.

Students are nominated by their teachers for demonstrating:

  • Overcoming obstacles

  • Kindness to others

  • Leadership abilities

  • Helping others

  • Improvement in behavior and/or academics

Each honoree, along with their family and faculty members, is invited to attend a celebratory luncheon at Longobardi Restaurant, where they are formally recognized for their accomplishments.
