This historic site holds 85 years of memories for students, staff, and the community. From its early classrooms to the vibrant hallways we know today, Wappingers Jr. High has played a central role in shaping the lives of countless students.

Wappingers Jr. was proud to celebrate Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (L.E.A.D.) by recognizing the dedication and service of those who work tirelessly to keep our community safe. We extend our sincere thanks to Sergeant Michael Rahilly for joining us in our celebration and for his continued commitment to public service. His presence made the day especially meaningful for our students and staff, and we are grateful for the time he took to connect with our school community. Thank you, Sergeant Rahilly, for your service, leadership, and support. We truly appreciate all that you do.

We are proud to announce the winner of the 2026 School Spelling Bee—7th grader Zachariah Shrestha! Zachariah demonstrated exceptional spelling skills, focus, and perseverance to earn this well-deserved title. Congratulations on an outstanding achievement!

We would also like to recognize the many talented students who participated and made this year’s Spelling Bee a great success: Emilia Czauz, Juan Gonzalez, Ometh Kariyawasam, Joel James McFarlane, Peyton Santos, Angad Sekhon, Leila Sen, Kian Siddique and Roslyn Zhang. A special thank you to Mrs. Classen for serving as our judge and supporting our students throughout the competition. We are incredibly proud of all our participants for their hard work and courage in stepping up to the challenge. Well done, everyone!

Mr. Harry Ramirez shares the rich traditions of 3 Kings Day with students, teaching them about the cultural significance and joyful celebrations of this Puerto Rican holiday. Celebrated on January 6th, it marks the arrival of the Three Kings and the spirit of giving and community.

Students explored a variety of careers, met professionals, and gained valuable insights during Career Day, sparking curiosity and excitement about their futures. A big thank you to the guidance department for organizing this annual event, their hard work made it possible for students to imagine and explore the many paths ahead of them.
